winter sunflowers

So this is what happens when you decide to wear a summer dress in the Fall, and then take pictures of that dress at 7 in the morning on a very windy day: you end up flashing way more leg than you originally intended to AND you look like what Casper the friendly ghost looks like when people try to mess with his lady friend. Needless to say, during the Winter I will make sure I drink hot coffee/espresso and apply a serious amount of bronzer before taking outfit pictures! I apologize for frightening all of you!

One of my favorite things about the living in a city with four distinct seasons is the challenge of making your favorite pieces of clothing wearable all year round. For example, this sunflower dress from Brandy Melville is clearly a summer dress, but can easily be worn throughout the Fall with the addition of tights and a long sleeve shirt. In the Winter, I’m thinking this dress will work best worn as a skirt with a chunky turtleneck sweater over it, some thick Winter tights (like these Gap ones), and some knee socks for extra warmth. Who says you can’t wear a summer dress all year? Not me!

Thank you for reading!! Have a wonderful day!

XO,
Kimiko
