I can’t believe Christmas is only one week away! This year,
especially the past month, has flown by. Although my long Fall vacation was just
what the doctor ordered, it delayed my Christmas shopping. I don’t like to resort to very last minute shopping, but it looks like that will be inevitable
this year. Here’s to hoping I’m more on top of it next year!
Two things.
I love mixing patterns and colors, but let’s face it, it’s
not always as easy as it looks. I like to think that I continue to improve my
mixing skills, but some days are better than others. In this case, I think I
did a darn good job! (I may or may not have patted myself on the back
after putting together this outfit.) I will admit that it is a rather simple
outfit in terms of colors and patterns, but sometimes (okay, often) I like to
keep things simple and low maintenance.
Also, I’m becoming a huge fan of wearing dresses as skirts.
I saw this dress hanging in my sister’s closet and decided that I really wanted
to wear it, but not in a traditional way. The classic silhouette of the
dress is not only flattering, but also makes it wearable on all sorts of occasions.
Since I woke up in a fun/playful mood, I decided to throw on this cute heart
sweater, and topped it off with one of my favorite striped infinity scarves. After approving my pattern mixing with a once over in the mirror, I called it a
successful outfit day. I wish I was always this quick getting dressed for work!
